Definitely want About Schmidt. I'm surprised that there's no news of a release for that one.

Definitely be interested in Citizen Ruth on Blu. I just re-watched the film on DVD (for the first time on an HD set), and the colors are very washed-out. This film definitely needs an upgrade.

Re: the film itself, very good story about how special interest groups will take up a "cause" for selfish reasons; in this case, each group (the Pro-life vs. the Pro-choice) didn't care about Ruth herself as a person, but just wanted to use her to prove their respective point(s).

I like how the film ended

[Show spoiler]with a big figurative middle finger to both groups, i.e. showing Ruth splitting with the money. The Harlan character had her all figured out; he knew she was going to blow through the $ in three days & end up back on the street where she was in the beginning....

It doesn't always work, searching for existing threads, as there aren't always existing threads in the search results. Came across Citizen Ruth during tonight's new edition of documentary series The Directors (the last in the current, seventh series, about Alexander Payne). I had already heard of the Jack Nicholson-starring About Schmidt, but hadn't heard of Citizen Ruth before.

Based on the clips shown, Citizen Ruth sounds like a good film. However, I'm unsure who currently has the physical media rights to it, as Miramax are mentioned a few times in it's IMDb section.
