Default Mothers Day and Blu-ray

Hello my fellow Blu ray supporters. Ok so everyone knows that Mothers Day is coming up... and I want to get my wife something, something like a Blu ray movie. Most likely a chick flick. I was thinking along the lines of maybe 27 Dresses, Dan in Real Life, or pursuit of happiness. If you guys have had any expiriences with some good chick flicks, please... any help would be GREATLY apprieciated.

Isnt that kinda like buying a gift for the wife knowing you got it so you can use it. I would avoid that altogether unless shes into blu-ray

She is definatly into Blu ray. We actually decided to go Blu together. She really likes Blu ray, but we only have 3 or 4 movies.

Dan in Real Life turned out to be a very good movie... It's sort of a chick flick, but I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would...

27 Dresses is great for everyone.

I'm going to see Buju Banton the day before Mother's Day. Tickets are still on sale. Take her to the Ganja Fest Mon.

This sounds like the episode of the simpsons where Homer buys Marge a bolwing ball with his name engraved on it!!

Get her something thoughtfull, that'll matter more than any blu ray you buy her. Or get her one thoughtfull gift and 1 blu ray

Gah...at my mother's house, she's still running a 32" Sony Trinitron...the curved screen ones.

First paycheck of the summer, I've already promised myself, I'm buying her a 32" LCD. Ridiculous. My little sister has to watch her DVDs on that 250 pound behemoth. Donating my old HTiB then, too - so all I have to do is bring my PS3 so they can enjoy movies, too.

Nice thread. Very good suggestion in "P.S. I Love You" I already got her (wife) something, but I will also buy the BD. My Mom is another story since she really could care less about movies.

I'm just curious. It is called Mother's Day so you get something for your mother, right? Is it just me or has the whole world gone crazy. Don't answer that, it's rhetorical.

If she is a fan of Jane Austin I would recommend "Becoming Jane". My wife loved it, but, she is a huge fan

There was a review done a little while back here

I pre-ordered that to keep the girlfriend happy? Is it too much to handle if it's me, my mom, and my girlfriend?
