Default I just started my collection and wanted to share!

Hello.

I have just started my Blu-ray collection, and my first 3 purchases have been

T2- Skynet Edition, was really glad I read the reviews on this, it looks amazing, I can't wait to get my new surround set up to hear the difference too!

The Boondock Saints- I had the special edition remastered THX version, and this Blu-ray copy looks and sounds better then that, I am super glad I added this to my collection, the PQ is awesome

The Incredible Hulk- Again I am very impressed with the quality and sound, another great choice for one of my first movies!

I just wanted to say that I am very happy to be part of the HD world now, and look forward to many more purchases!

Welcome! If you liked Iron Man, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight I would definitely pick those up too! Casino Royale looks great too I would also get Quantum of Solace since it is a continuation of Casino Royale.... I also recommend Casino if you like Robert Deniro. One of my fav movies...

You picked a pretty good time to start. There's been lots of good sales and price drops recently.

I definitely recommend some animation if you want to see amazing PQ. Can't go wrong with any of the Pixar movies.

i was JOKING with this list of course!! these titles are less than stellar on BD.

i would suggest: a bug's life, cars, ratatouille, rambo, baraka, band of brothers, dexter season 1-3, the dark knight, big trouble in little china, blade runner, watchmen, sin city, 300, hellboy II, basically anything from disney...

This is one recommendation I have to admit i'll never understand. Everyone raves about band of brothers so i blind bought it and i was not impressed.

I thought it looked subpar and the inclusion of the guy from Friends turned me off completely.

Never made it past the first episode.....

wow that is a first! i have never heard a complaint about Band of Brothers. i showed my brothers and they were instantly hooked, i think we watched the first half of the series in one sitting.

your collection is full of awesome action too, BoB has great action sequences.

another recommendation. if you don't want to shell out close to 100 for planet earth, maybe give disney's "Earth" a rental. I swear 95% of the content is directly from planet earth. i actually felt ripped off when i saw it in theater!

I second 'Tropic thunder'.Looks amazing, and is amazingly funny Another recommendation is 'Into the wild'.But search around for a review since it may not be everyones cup of tea.

One word of warning-here we go: Try not to let expectation ruin a viewing. There are a few duds out there in the blue universe, and it can be very dissapointing when you happen upon them. But this site is generally accurate when it comes to PQ and AQ

I loved INto the Wild. Not something that is going to blow your socks off AQ wise, but I think the PQ is great and the story is wonderful. I have watched it 3 times on blu and it still 'gets me' everytime I see it.
