Blu-ray Samurai

![]() ![]() Watched that and really enjoyed it. Concentrates mostly on the people of the town (Mingo Junction) where The Deer Hunter was filmed although it touches on a few of his other films (I suppose linking them in some way to The Deer Hunter). Cimino has some commentary I assume taken from some of the French releases of his films. It's entirely in English (with removable French subtitles) with some text titles in French & English. Documentary works because it's a relaxed affair and listens to the people of the town with nothing fancy and very few film clips. Friend of Putin -Oliver Stone- makes an appearance and he's fairly spot on about Cimino I reckon. Quentin Tarantino talks only about the films (refusing any other negative chat) and James Toback is very interesting to hear from. The film though -like The Deer Hunter- is about the people of Mungo Junction. Disc is B. Quick look at the extras I think they're not English friendly and some 1080i material may trip up your setup. The main documentary is 1080p of course and it looks beautiful.
