Block Buster going out of business

Ive heard that 2 Blockbusters in my area are going out of business, and when i called them to confirm, they also stated that there will be many Blu ray deals. Can anyone else elaborate more on this?

Please change the thread title. Two Blockbusters in your area shutting down does NOT mean Blockbuster *the company* is going out of business, as your title suggests.

It was stated earlier this year that Blockbuster is down sizing and will be closing nearly 1000 stores nation wide.

Although I feel bad people will lose their jobs, a majority of their employees have no extensive knowledge of movies at all. Their selection is borderline awful (mine didn't have Citizen Kane!). I'll be taking a trip to mine today and check it out.

they just closed down one of the stores that had been near my moms house for nearly 20 years. Times are a-changin.

The Block Buster on Rosecrans Ave in Hawthorne, CA is closing and "liquidating" all their merchandise. I stopped in and what this meant was used games that were still more expensive than Gamestop and 10% off used Blu's, which were then still more expensive than Amazon.

All in all, they don't look like they're doing a good job selling as the place is still packed full of junk.

haha yeah I did the same. Pulled in to see if I can get a good deal on some Blus....the prices were still ridiculous after 10% off. My experience was pretty much this
