I've not heard of the show but I love Bruce Campbell to bits, so it's good news to me.

At USA's Burn Notice Comic Con panel, it was announced that there will be a Sam Axe prequel movie starring none other than the geek-icon himself, Bruce Campbell!

"USA finally got their s*** together, joked Campbell to the Bruce Campbell-adoring crowd. Burn creator Matt Nix explained a little bit more about the upcoming TV movie. "We wanted to do a prequel movie that shows Sam Axe on his last mission as a military guy," he said. "You see what happened and how Sam ended up retiring to Miami, and we wanted to know a little bit more about the guy, and we get to see Sam Axe in action with guns and I'm hoping you're ok with this, I think I'm putting a chainsaw in your (Campbell's) hand."

Bruce Campbell is the man he is my favorite actor and Burn Notice is one of my all time favorite shows.

Nice! I'd been noticing that he's been getting thinner this season and gradually dying his hair. This explains it.

I would love one last Evil Dead movie. Like an amped up Drag Me To Hell with a totally nihilistic bent and Ash being the last man standing per usual.

Hell, I'd love a whole passing of the torch type movie with the final twist being that Ash's replacement dies a horrible death at the end.

I love Burn Notice, watched every episode so far, in fact a new one is on in about an hour.

A Sam Axe movie will be insanely awesome. I cant wait to see how he ended up in Miami. He has some pretty good recon stories that they talk about in Burn Notice, hopefully some of these will get some live action.

Very exciting news!! Been a fan of Burn Notice since the start and a fan of Bruce since probably Evil Dead 2 came out. Can't wait to see this!
I imagine we'll see it during Burn Notice's down time, to serve as a bridge to carryover before the new season.

Oh, and Bruce posted on his website a while back that his contract as well as the show had been renewed for season 5 and 6, so, unless something goes terribly wrong, it seems the show will be around for a while.

Yeah i read about him getting his contract was renewed. I personally would think the show would really loose something without him. Although i have noticed a bit less of Sam now that Jesse is in the show.
