Default thing next to the funai player

Anybody know what that box next to the funai player does and how it works? All that the sign says is that it is wireless uncompressed HDTV.

I believe it is a wireless HDMI adapter for hdtv's. Funai, Philips and one more company are about to release their own version of this new technology this fall.

I'm not sure, but I would have to guess it's some sort of wireless device, lol

Here are my guesses:
1. No HDMI cable needed, everything sent to your surround system/TV wirelessed
2. Somehow connects to your PC/wireless network
3. Might be something like Sony's LocationFree Technology, or sort of like the Sling Media Box (it be nice if that's what it were)

I really don't know, just guessing.

They're also referred to as HDMI extenders.
