Looks nice... Anyone seen the film? I think I'm going to pick it up, seems like another just mindless action film with lots of stunts and explosions.

Hopefully Lionsgate is using the extra room to let the video stretch its legs. Their first titles look really bad compared to what we have been seeing from the BD camp recently.

I'm still trying to find out what happened to the Dune miniseries which was supposed to come out in their first wave of releases, but Lionsgate decided to shut down all their email addy's because of the flood of HD-DVD users asking for support.

Probably, considering they own the rights for the first.

As it stands there's no way to contact them so we can't figure out what happened to the first one.

This week "Crank" is being released on blu-ray. Since it is a Lionsgate release, will it be in BD-J mode? Any known compatibility problems with Sony players like "the Descent?" From what I have read there are two other films released so far with similar problems, so don't think it is Lionsgate that is the problem, but still hesitant to buy the new release after the problems I had returning the Descent!

I wanna watch it ifirst, and then most likely I'll buy it. Since I already have Transporter 1 and 2... Most likely I'll like Crank too.

If Tony Scott was on crack, this is the action movie he would make.

Agreed. Plus it has enough quirks and over-the-top-to-the-point-of-hilarity moments to make it stand out among typical modern action films. Definite buy if you are an action fan.

I have about 70 BD now and this has to be the best PQ movie I have seen yet. Not just PQ, but all aspects of the film. For the first time in all my 70 movies, this has great detail, color and no grain in it from what I have watched so far. This will be my demo disk from now on and will be hard to beat.

If you like the Transporter movies you will like Crank. I watched Transporter 2 last night and while the picture was great, the skin tones were horrible (very yellow). Crank was dead on.
