Hi guys,
The BD drive in my HTPC died...motivating me switch to a stand-alone player...something I have been tempted to do for a while. So I picked up the Sony BDP-N460 today. My only issue is I can't seem to figure out how to get it to bitstream to my Onkyo TX-SR607. When bitstreaming from my HTPC, the Onkyo would always say "Dolby TrueHD" or "DTS MASTER HD" respectfully. With the N460, it shows "DVD Multichannel PCM"... I've gone through the settings on the BD player and they look correct. Can anyone shed some light on what I may be overlooking? Much appreciated. |

finally figured it out....
Probably obvious to others, but just in case, the "BD Audio Setting" options: Mix or Direct...was the issue. It defaults to "Mix", which I figured was ok, the manual makes it sound like this only deals with how audio commentary tracks are dealt with...apparently not the case. By changing to Direct, it now bitstreams perfectly ![]() |
