Does anyone know where I can purchase the taiwanese release of both Red Cliff movies online? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Also would anyone happen to have the Mei Ah release of Red Cliff 2? Since the first one had watermarks I was wondering if the sequel had them as well.

I have the Mei Ah releases of both Red Cliff and Red Cliff 2. Part 2 does not have the watermark and part one does.

Not sure where you can get the Taiwanese versions but if I recall correctly they do not have English subtitles.

The video and audio on the Mei Ah releases it top notch and the water mark it hardly noticeable at all. I was dreading it when I first watched part one but it is not intrusive at all. It appears in the top left of the screen in the black bar. It only appears a few times throughout the whole movie and is pretty much like the tv station logos that appear nowadays.

If the watermark is the only reason you want the Taiwanese version I would say not to worry about it and pick up the Mei Ah releases.

Don't forget that they are open-matted (1:78:1) and not OAR (2:35:1).
