Default Blu-ray movie not working on my new TV.

I hooked my PS3 up to my NEW Samsung LCD TV Model: LN32B640 to watch the Movie WANTED on Blu Ray. The movie would not work? Has anyone else had issues of Blu Rays not working on certain TV's? I say TV's because the same movie WANTED worked on the same PS3 on my Toshiba DLP.

We are going to need a bit more info here.. Can you see the PS3 at all on your TV? Do games work? How is the PS3 connected to the tv?

Yes the PS3 works on the new LCD TV. I can play PS3 games, I can watch Saw V on Blu Ray. The movie WANTED would not play on it though. The Wanted picture shows up on the PS3 HOME page (pic of Angelina Jolie) under the Movie section. I click on it, the screen goes black and stays black. (This is usually where the Movie is loading on the other TV, Red Bar would show up on the other TV displaying the loading) Fast Fwd, etc. do not do anything on the Black screen. The PS3 is connected via HDMI.

Replace the Disc. Sounds like your problem is coming from the Disc, since you could see the PS3 menu and play games as well. Even though it worked on that other TV you had earlier, the Disc might have gotten damaged.

Why don't you try playing another movie just for a test.

could it be your ps3 is outputting 24p and your tv does not support..

that is only a guess or else your "wanted" blu-ray is damage and you should fill in a replacement at whatever retail store you bought it from..

I have tried Saw V (blu ray) and The Guardian (Blu Ray) and they work on the new TV. I took the PS3 and Wanted (Blu Ray) back downstairs to hook it up to the Toshiba and it works just fine. There are no scratches on the Disc.
Leads me to believe it is the TV.

When you put in in Wanted, does the movie play (sound is heard) but you get no image, or does the Bu-ray player simply stops and doesn't play the disc?

My line of thought is why would the TV do something that "orders" the player to stop. Did you check the 24p setting? Regions? Etc.

try deleting the wanted data file from the bd data file under movies.

if it was the 24p that was the problem, you would atleast hear the sound from the menu/previews.

That is a good tip about deleting the data of the PS3, I gotta remember that for future TV changes.

Glad everything is working fine OP.
