PS3 music - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know how to play your own music during games. Several of my friends who have an Xbox just use a flash drive and the music replaces the audio from the game. When I try this on my PS3 I get a message saying that it can't be done. I have also copied songs from my flash drive right on to mt PS3. I can play the songs but not during game play ......

The game has to support custom soundtrack. It's the same with the xbox, not all the games support it. In the ingame menu there would be an option to play songs from your hd in a game that supports it.

Burnout Paradise has 'Custom Soundtracks' with the Cagney Update. Depending on how much effort you put into it, MLB The Show 09 has custom just about everything.

Not true....

You can play your music on EVERY game on XBOX 360...

That is the one thing I wish they would update....it is an awesome feature....especially during Sports games....

That's what I thought about the xbox too. Everygame.

Now PURE has custom soundtracks but they are pre-loaded into the game. And they all suck!

I use in game music in Warhawk, Burnout and LittleBigPlanet (LBP is custom music, but only availabe in your Pod and during Creating).

It is game specific unfortunately.

Most times, the music has to be loaded on your hard-drive.

Ok, sorry, I've never had a 360 just the original xbox, and I remember the games needing to be compatible.

Zen Pinball has an unique way. It doesn't use the normal way of just pressing the PS button on the controller and then you go to your XMB and choose the song to start with and instead you press

I believe and then it lets you choose from there.
