Display on the front of my Oppo BD83 went.

I was watching Wolverine the display on the front stopped advancing the time at about 2:00 it just kept displaying 2:00 even though the movie was advancing. I stopped the Oppo and restarted it their was no display on the front at all. The Oppo still works fine other than that. All though it sort of reminds me of the PS3.

Interesting issue as I haven't heard of this problem before but I'd recommend reporting the problem to Oppo. However, make sure you didn't hit the Dimmer button on the remote by accident. This won't explain why the display stopped at 2:00 but it would eliminate any potenital chance of why the display is blank.

Maybe try resetting the OPPO to the factory defaults and clear the BD data. If that doesn't work, give OPPO a call or email them...their customer service is very good and they'll help you sort everything out.
