It's funny, because just last night, I learned that this film apparently has a brief and very long shot of Jane Russell's breasts. Little did I know that at the same time, Twilight Time were announcing it for Blu-ray.
Apparently, the German disc is quite good, so I might get this one. |

Screencaps look really good! It doesn't seem to have that aggressive blue push like a lot of other Fox scans.

![]() ![]() The Tall Men is a good looking disc despite being taken from an older master - which also means that there's no obvious revisionism with the vivid color scheme but there is the odd case of the CinemaScope mumps. The default soundtrack is the 5.1 track but I preferred the 4.0, which has that old fifties four track stereo expansiveness. Love the ending where Robert Ryan gets to deliver the definitive description of his co-star Clark Gable - "There goes the only man I ever respected. He's what every boy thinks he's going to be when he grows up and wishes he had been when he's an old man." |

In the first two screencaps, I'm seeing more detail and brighter image on the top one - DVD. Maybe they should be reversed?
