I just got my cable box, so I've started watching non-HD programming. Certain channels (e.g., TCM, Spike TV) will display programming in the original aspect ratio, but fitted for 4:3 TV's. Therefore black bars are present on all 4 sides of the picture.
The Kuro's Zoom option stretches the picture vertically, while the Wide1 or Wide2 options stretch the picture horizontally. Either way, the picture is distorted. How can I 'zoom' in on the picture without distorting aspect ratio and eliminate - all blacks bars for 1:85 to 1 content - left and right black bars for 2:35 to 1 content My old Panny PX60U has an option to do this, but I can't seem to find this option on the Kuro. |
