Default I Need some Suggestions

With the recent talk of WB wanting to do a JL movie, I want to get myself familiar with how the JL got together, so which BD of JL should I get in order to get me familiar with it.

First of all, what's a JL movie?

Why bother? You know they'll obviously take care of that within the film for those of us who don't know. They'll follow Marvel's example, so no worries about being lost with the DC iteration.

"Justice League film" is the answer to your question.

There are lots of great Jet Li films. I would start with Lethal Weapon 4.

Jay Leno is alright, but I'm more of a Letterman fan myself.

They're remaking Jacob's Ladder?

Seriously, there are a few good James LeGros, Jared Leto, Jane Lynch, Jason Lee, Jeremy London, John Leguizamo, John Lone, Jude Law, John Lynch, Josh Lucas, Justin Long, Jack Lord films.

But I'd go with Jack Lemmon.

How did I miss this thread, the answers are hilarious!!! Seriously, don't waste your time with WB movies, there are 6 (soon 7) Batman movies, 4 (maybe 5) are worth watching but only the last 3 MIGHT have something to do with the JL movie since WB is already talking about a Batman reboot. Maybe, maybe, the new Superman movie will have something to do with the JL movie (read about a Wonder Woman cameo) I'd just watch the cartoons on the Cartoon Network, read the comics or do a WiKi search on each member. If you have Netflix, the cartoons they have are pretty good too. If they do individual movies for each JL member, they will probably be quick cash grabs like Green Lantern that will resemble a Uwe Boll/Brett Ratner movie.

No that was not a rant

At the risk of actually answering the question...

Justice League: The New Frontier is a JL origin story (and a fantastic, entertaining disc). You should also consider picking up S1 of the Justice League show, especially since you can often find it on the secondary market for ~$15.

That being said, I assume that WB's movie (if it ever gets off the ground, still an open question even with the runaway success of The Avengers) will go in its own direction and present its own origin.

The best Justice League is the Justice League cartoon series - all 4 seasons of pure genious with the most satisfying cartoon series ending ever. I'm not even a huge fan of DC comicbooks, but the Justice League series is by far the greatest cartoon series ever made - from beginning to end.
