Default New Receiver:D

i Just bought the Yamaha RX-v661 HDMI Receiver. and WOW:O
i just listened to some of my BD movies, and the PCM soundtrack is just stunning, i mean OMG! its at least 50% better if not more, its just awesome, makes good sound 10 times better, and bad sound great, im really happy with it. testing all my movies now

This was one of the ones I was looking at, but if I remember correctly, the video processing got fairly poor reviews. If I wasn't going to be running video through it, I would have bought it hands down, I had an RX-v800 for six years that I loved. Uncompressed audio is pretty sweet, I was amazed at the difference. Congrats!

congrats.. most of my stuff is Yamaha i love it. my main receiver is an HTR-5890 which im using in 7.1 really great sound experience

The video Runs through great, theres no difference so far on what i can tell. so no shame in buying this one

PCM Uncompressed Surround ROCKS

Congrats on your purchase I can't wait get my new reciever and listen to lossless audio.

I was ready to buy one until I read you have to turn PLXII processing on every time you turn the receiver on. Plus I want upconversion to HDMI and OSD through HDMI.

So I back to saving for the Denon-887.
