I'm curious too. Really disliked 4-6, but 7 was a step in the right direction again...

All the major Saw fans I know were disappointed with this or said it was just "okay" so I skipped it in theatres.

The acting is bad, and there are some plot holes, but not bad enough to take you out of it. If you liked the other films you'll probably like this one too.

saw 7 wasn't that bad
1.) The twist was given away in the opening scene ruining the impact it should've had at the end.

2.) The main trap victim was treated like an afterthought. He was filler to the writers.

3.) Jigsaw looked like a goofball at the book signing.

4.) All the traps were garbage aside from the public execution.

5.) Hoffman acted like Michael Myers at the police station.

I'm buying the standard Jigsaw blu-ray. When Lionsgate remasters the other Saw films and puts them out on UHD (and not spread out across three discs this time), then I'll buy the 4K version.

Not really any quicker than any other Hollywood film these days. Long gone are the days of waiting a year for a release to make it to video, these days 3 months from the theatrical release to the home video release is pretty standard.
