Does anybody know if this is a good tv? LC52D85U. I don't want to spend any more than 1500 and my primary uses are movies and video games. Is this a good tv to choose?

I bought this over the summer from Best Buy for $1499. IMO its the best bang for your buck. I love it. HDMI cables from Monoprice and DirecTv High Def and the picture is absolutely amazing. The football games look amazing and my PS3 games do too.

All my friends who've watched always are so impressed with it.

I was in BB the other day, and I hate to say it but that TV seemed outperformed by every set around it, regardless of price point. If it were myself and I was looking for a good LCD in that budget, I might look at a 46" set from Samsung, LG, or Sony.

Just my 2 cents.
