omg sweeney todd wont play :(

hiya all
sorry about being new and unfamiliar.
i've tried the search button and had no luck so i really don't know if this has been covered before or not.

here's the problem: sweeney todd turned up this morning on blu ray. i went to plug the disc into my ps3 while i got ready for my day.
the disc is not being read or recognised. no bd disc option coming up - no update notification - no video file rocognition.

now the disc comes packaged with a firmware note saying my player might need to be upgraded. i've searched around and had no luck. my ps3 is running on the latest 3.01 update as it is...

so does anyone know why i'm not able to watch this disc? has anyone else put sweeney todd into a ps3?

i'm starting to wonder if my disc is actually at fault...

Sounds like you got a bad disc.

Return it for a replacement. Hope you have better luck.

can anyone confirm that sweeney todd should run just fine on ps3 3.01?

My second opinion is the same as the first as my copy works just fine. Just checked it as I had not unwrapped it yet.

heya - sorry can't confirm it's a faulty disc.
at the moment my ps3 isn't reading any discs.
not sure what to make of it since i was watching blade runner just fine recently.
think i had a dvd running just fine in there as recent as yesterday...

God, I hope your laser has not gone. That would be bad luck. Give it some down time and try later. Is it still playing games?

oh it's had nothing but down time since i bought the darn thing on launch day. useless waste of hardware that it is.

it's not reading anything right now. cd's dvd's blu ray games - nothing...
i'll let it think then try again later...
