Part 2 and 3 would be great if they edited them down to one movie. There is 90 mins of decent footage between the two.

And to the OP I like the backlight, I could also see how someone wouldn't.

That image already gives me headache just on my computer. I can't imagine being in front of it for real watching a movie.

Nevertheless, it looks kool.

well it actually isnt that bright. Since it was in a dark room the camera opened the shutter longer to collect light. its really not at all distracting.

So have you actually tried watching the movie without that gimmick? I can imagine all it does is wash out the picture.

I've actually watched movies with the backlighting on and it really isn't distracting to me. However, most times I prefer not to have it on. Sometimes it can add a cool little change in mood to the room though.

The OP's photo looks really nice, but it won't work for me. There's no way that I can focus on the picture with the light on the back. Nice show, but not a good watch.

Not my first choice, but if you like it.... Kudos!

I watched The Matrix in a fairly nice theater with friends...... I'll leave the vague references out, and just say
[Show spoiler] We all had heads full of acid
and I thought that was a pretty swell way to see it...... ahhh to be young again.

Hi evnash, your picture looks nice and I believe you when you say that they aren't that noticeable.

I think that what people are saying here is that it's not the best way to watch a movie. It does look cool but for back-lighting, it's recommended to use 6500K white light that will not affect color reproduction. Philips Ambilight is a bit different since it changes color with the content, it's supposed to kinda "enlarge the screen". It's a nice feature that looks really cool and I think most people would enjoy it but I think that it's more a gadget and I think everyone would agree that getting a bigger screen is a better way to enlarge the experience!

Anyway, I think people here are not trying to be rude or attack you, they just express their opinion saying that it would not be their way of watching the Matrix.

I don't care a whole lot for that backlight either - but seems it would be appropriate for The HULK as well .... anyways I half expected to see a pic of a bong.

Seen the Philips Ambialight and don't care for it either. I also notice the isle lights but it's not in my field of vision either when looking at the screen.
Just my opinion, hey if you like it, then good for you.

I'm pretty picky about this stuff as well. I want absolutely nothing protruding the screen (speakers, junk, crap, etc). Additionally, I also want no other light sources on than what is actually playing on the screen.

It does look cool though. I don't want it on while I'm watching a movie though. Distraction. It's not adding any depth or detail to the picture anyways.

I'm all for the matrix my self HUGE FAN. HAve an enormous collection for it. bigger then most people. But I would have tosay i don't car to watch wiht it on. Now for a demo, yes it would be really cool. But to watch with it on al the time as a normal thing nah not for me.

demo= way cool
normal watching on a reg basis= thumbs down.

there thats my 2 cents for what ever it's worth.
