How about you save over a 100 Euros (Dollars) and get a Panasonic BD60. Price for performance ratio, the best BD player on the market I think. (dot)DE cuz I see ur in Germany.

we have in our company a bd35 panasonic player. and there is a strange jitter effect if the camera moves over a scene. you know what i mean... looks like he has problems with the deinterlacing or something else.. the PQ is horrible.

I cannot recommend the LG390 more. I'm glad I bought this player a few months ago. It may have some features you may not use but the PQ is excellent for both SD DVD and BDs. Load times? Amongst the fastest on the market!

can't compare it to the PS3 but the 550 is a very nice player. I've had one for over a year (been moved to the bedroom after purchase of the new OPPO) and haven't had a single issue with it. Great PQ (connected to a 65" Panasonic plasma) and I used the Sony's analog outs (this was the first time since getting into home theater over 15 years ago I've used these for sound) and was quite amazed at how great the sound quality was from the player. Played every disc I put in it and really liked the set-up menus and how easy they were to use. though I'm not sure they are still making them since they brought out the 560 (though this unit doesn't have the analog outs, if I recall).
