Search Function Questions - Blu-ray Forum

I've been a member for over a year now and just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything when trying to do a search.

Is there any way to narrow down your search request to a specific forum??

Like if I want to do a search for a particular movie that I want to buy and narrow that search to only the trade forum/threads, can that be done??

I've never seen a thread w/this question posed, it would be kinda handy instead of hoping someone happens to see your trade/sell/want thread and send you a PM.

Yep, when you go to Advanced Search, the right-hand side of the screen allows you to choose a specific forum.

I'm the idiot that can't figure out how to search for a multiple-word phrase like "Modern Family."

i can't either!! i've been looking for i love you man for a while and the search only comes back w/"love".

I don't know but I think the search feature in on the fritz again.I was looking for threads on Let The Right One In yesterday and couldn't come up with any of the old ones.

Also you can make it word or thread specific, instead of typing james bond and every post that mentions james bond comes up you can select thread so it'll only find the threads with those words in it.

You could always go into that forum and click Search this Forum and type what you are looking for in the box that pops up and see if that works.

That's how I find if movie news has already been posted.

thanks diesel!!! now i feel really stupid b/c i never even saw that option!!!

in my defense, i keep the window for this site somewhat smaller to keep my supervisor from seeing how often i'm really on here!!!
