Default Futureshop now limiting all Steelbooks

and canceling any orders you have for multiples.

I had 2 Star Trek(over 140 still in stock) and Terminators(SOLD out) on order...and they canceled them.

Honestly I don't mind but they should be smart enough to now put a limit on them...EXCEPT

They canceled my order that had the $10 coupon on it...so I lost that dang it.

That's a little crazy IMO... I can see it for the Disney steels that are super limited, but assuming every other new release will have Transformers/Watchmen like numbers, I don't see the need to limit them.

I think that may come back to haunt them with old stock...

Well depends of course...

When people go online and buy 100 and they only have 500 units...it is hard for them to not limit.

BUT like you said...for some they are VERY limited, i.e. Disney but others are still on the shelves in some places I hear.

Though I don't mind them limiting them.

never mind, one day (10 years from now) they will learn from their mistakes..
That's why they still merely a canadian shop. Not every shop can become a Amazon or Fnac's.

Since once again you are speaking about a Canadian shop you have never been in, Amazon limits items as well, Shop around .de, most have a limit of 3

Futureshop is owned by Best Buy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_Shop so they're not so tiny. Futureshop, however has many issues with their systems and being able to enforce limits at the store level. Some people were physically shown memos stating the 1/customer for certain steels. Others let customers walk out with 15 copies, which they shouldn't have, especially with limited releases. Best Buy US often has different policies across stores, especially with coupons and how they are rung up. Many times, it's a rigamaroll just to get the advertised deal at the stores I've visited. At other stores, the managers either don't care, or the employees were not briefed. And at some stores all goes smoothly.

Well I can sympathize on the limiting. Someone orders 10 or more and puts most of them up on ebay and gets $60 a pop for them.

I agree there should be a limit. but 2 is not very many, and losing a coupon is BS. They need to open orders up to the US. That alone will stop ebayers.

Forgive my ignorance on this matter. I see many U.S. members discussing and buying FS Steelbooks. Are you buying these directly from the FS website or are you using a Canadian address (contact) for your purchases?

Thanks JW! I kinda thought so, but it's just that I saw a lot of our U.S. members getting in on these and was wondering.
