I imported the Canadian version, but considering this is my favorite movie. I'll buy this one too.

I concur. I saw it years after release and I fell in love with it. Absolutely spectacular film.

I hope they keep all the special features from the collector's series DVD.

I'm just glad that they will be excluding the unspecial feature of a non-anamorphic transfer like the DVD got .

Also I just wanted to make sure that I get credit for this movie being released. I just bought the Canadian version like 2 weeks ago, which pretty much guaranteed that this was going to get released soon. I'm always willing to take one for the team. You are welcome.

This is by far one of my top favourite films of all-time.

I can't wait to import this title and finally watch it in HD.

One a sidenote: For those of you that are wondering why I as a Canadian down own the Canadian release already. I am not a fan of Alliance with their barebones BD releases.

Thanks for that! I bit on the Canadian release about a year ago, but will pick up the Lionsgate disc when it comes out. This is one of my all-time favorites!

Awesome news! This is one of my favorites too - I remember a friend gave me an Academy screener on VHS way back when it was still in theaters and I wore it out watching it. Can't wait to get this one Day One!

Even if it does, it'll likely be missing the 12th deleted scene(really more of an outtake) and the theatrical trailer that used the score from Rudy. Those were on the Canadian Alliance DVD(which was also anamorphic) but were missing from the Miramax Collector's Edition release.

I remember seeing this about 10 years ago and thinking it was decent, but if memory serves me it was extremely depressing.

yeah, and you better update your custom for this cuz I need it now... kidding, kidding... super stoked that I don't have to import the Alliance 1080i version of this now...

Just hoping now that Lionsgate beats the crap out of Echo Bridge and steals the rights to Equilibrium...

Agreed, that's why I got rid of my DVD years ago... when I got my widescreen TV. And I was very very close to importing the Alliance version... really glad I didn't know. Thanks man for taking one for the team.

Maybe I am thinking of another Matt Damon film. I'd probably rent it to refresh my memory.

There are several films that make me want to punch Robin Williams in the face. This one is probably at the top of the heap.
