I was thinking of switching from PSTN TO VoIP. Only problem is my DSL goes out when it rains heavy...
![]() Another reason why I want to switch is I have a nice Cisco ip phone. The ones from 24... ![]() So...if anyone has the service or has a better option, let me know. Thanks |

My family tried it. and believe me they were pissed with the service.
Then again I actually don't know what is going on with my family since for some reason my parent house have 4 different numbers and services not including Cell Phones services. ![]() |

As far as the Cisco phone, you will not be able to use it with Vonage very easily. If I remember correctly, you will need to change the load on it to the SIP load and sign up for the softphone service. A Cisco phone typically needs to communicate with a CallManager server in order to "register" and get its configuration. Unless it is a different model than I'm familiar with, the RJ-11 port is for a headset. |
