Default gloss black speaker setup

can someone recommend me really good tower speakers that are GLOSS BLACK finish? I want it to complement my pioneer KRP monitor. Looking for a relatively nonexpensive setup that is jet gloss black liek that of the JBL cinema series. does anyone know about the performance of this setup or can recommend me one?

I am going to set it up with Oppo blu-ray player. I also need advice on a superb receiver to pair it up with.

p.s. my budget is about $1000 for the towers, center and sub. and $500 for receiver.

thanks!

Well, this would get you center and towers. Maybe save up for a sub later on?

Aperion are supossed to make great speakers. I have never heard them myself, but they are well regarded speakers and wouldn't have a problem purchasing them with Aperion's return agreement (30 days and free return shipping). They are great for your budget and are the gloss you are looking for. The Marantz receiver is a no brainer, the best in it's class as far as I am concerned.

i will go with what you suggested for sure on the receiver.

out of curiosity, what do you think about the JBL cinema speaker setup? The look of the speakers are gorgeous...im not sure about the performance...any idea?

I seem to like the look of these speakers moreso than the asperion but if the performance is better on the asperion i will go with that. please give me some insight if you can..thanks once more!

heres the JBL:

you can also look into the Energy brand they make great speakers that come with that gloss black color and the sound is excellent. Here are the CF-30s and the CC-5 or CC-10 with the CB-10s surrounds.

You could probably easily get the towers, bookshelfs and the CC10 center for about $863 and then use the rest on an Acoustic Audio SUB-HD10 for about $170 from www.thedeepdiscount.com. OR you can look into the Premier Acoustics PA-120 for about $229.

You could call Vanns.com and just tell them that the budget is $850 and that is what you want and I am sure they will make it happen.

I love my Energys, they are great. And in black ash with gloss black front baffles.
