France Wild at Heart/Sailor & Lula release?

There are two releases of this film in france. One alone and one in a double-disc set with Dune.

Are the movies the same release?

True, as do Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown, and a lot of other English language films in France. But, for whatever reason, a lot of great films don't seem to be "BD worthy" for the Wal-Mart market in the US, and the French seem obsessed with making sure that the "original version" is included only for the sake of historical and creative accuracy, not because anyone would prefer as film in, gasp, English... ))

That's grossly inaccurate.

Actually many French people watch DVD and Blu-ray in English. I'd even hazard a guess than more French people watch movies in English than Americans do in French.

However, they tend to watch it with French subtitles which for some reason they find useful for comprehendings what people are actually saying. And as most of them need the subtitles anyway, they don't mind not being able to remove them.

Personally, it doesn't bother me that much - you learn not to look at them. And I'm sure some of you have at some stage watched something like a Star Wars DVD with burned-in Chinese subtitles.

I make many mistakes about the French, who are otherwise my favorite people... As has been remarked countless times, the French are very modest about their language, and actually prefer speaking English to most visitors. Or was that the Dutch... In any case, I personally am delighted to pay triple the US price for any title that originates from a Parisian postal code.

You assume some of us have a very cosmopolitan lifestyle...
