Clan [Blu!] Commencing - (COD5 W@W)

Well folks, its that time of year again, another installment of Call of Duty. I figured it would also be that time to do away with the 150 page thread we had here for COD4 and let it sink into oblivion.

It was however in that thread, that we formed the Blu-Clan. It's grown to be alot more but our centerpiece so far and hopefully always is the Call Of Duty series (Game quality depending :P)

So if any folks plan on grabbing W@W and would like to participate in the Blu-Clan and join in on the mayhem, your more than willing. We're laid back, about having fun, and dont care if you suck, we've had plenty of people join who suck and turn out into very good players as we tend to offer tons of advice and improvement tips ... and thats not to say that you may be the one giving us advice (As their are tons of experienced COD players out there.)

Edit: Forgot to mention, we participate in things like gamebattles and such but more so hold alot of our own Blu-Clan tourneys ... Alot garnering prizes, we have a tournament module for big tourneys (Brackets and such.) And alot of of "ONOs" One Night Only tourneys that have stipulations and are available for whomever shows up that night at the time slot. We plan on doing alot of these once everyone is situated with W@W .. We do offer these things for other games as well. We also have certain champions (People who won those "Certain" tourneys) who defend their title monthly (ala, Knife Fight Champ, Sniper Champ, Shotty Champ, 1on1 Champ, etc.)

Now, to add a little bit more content to this topic ... I figured id post some findings I've known of COD5 : W@W

It drops this Tuesday, the 11th. (Some gamestops are doing midnight release)

Alright guys, I got some inside news on COD5 and I'll start listing alot about the game that you may or may not have heard of.

Killing Sprees : Much like COD4 you get rewarded for Killing Sprees in COD5 as well.

3 Kills in a row - Recon Plane -Summary - UAV
5 Kills in a row - Artillary Strike - Summary - Select the area, and call in an art. strike and obliterate the area.
7 Kills in a row - Attack Dogs - Summary - Sends out several attack dogs that seek out and kill enemies and they target hiding enemies.

There are also molotov cocktails you can use and throw at enemies in this game

Co-op Online Campaign - Up to 4 people! Who's teaming with me? Peeps can leave the game too and continue on with 3 or what have you.

The Lobby - Runs off of COD4 engine but you can also take your entire team into a different game (IE: This room is lagging, lets all back out and regroup... NOT! Blu-Host just takes us all to a different room.)

Perks - M2 Flamethrower (High Level Unlock)

Pyromaniac - Like Sonic Boom this perk increases your attacks when it comes to fire, in this case, molotov co(ktails and the flamethrower.

Satchel Charge - This is basically their version of C4

Bouncing Betty - (this is pretty pimp) its their version of the claymore ... but its an oldschool claymore mine that live up to the name as they spring up in the air when triggered and spray shrapnel killing all nearby enemies.

Bazooka - Lets face it, the RPG could be alot better in COD4 , this one aims at that, you can destroy tanks with this or clear out strong holds.

Flak Jacket - Martydom is in COD5 but having a flak jacket on helps protect you from grenade blasts and can save you from nearby martydom blasts.

Shades - Thats right, sunshades. No flash bangs in COD5 but they do have Flares and they last much longer, so put on these bad boys to nullify the effect.

Speaking of different types of grenades, they got Nerve gas in this one ... which brings me to the next perk I know that is coming our way.

Gas Mask - Protects you from disorienting effects of tabun nerve gas.

Second Chance - The new and improved version of Last Stand... Same as Last stand, you drop to the ground with your pistol ... EXCEPT ... if your teammate has Second Chance on too he can REVIVE YOU!

Fire Proof - Protection from Molotov Co(ktails and flamethrowers, helpful if some jabronis are over using it.

Dexterity - Improved Sleight of hand - Faster reload and quicker prep time on Molotovs and Bouncing Betties

Greased Bearings - Speeds up the rotation of your tanks main cannon allowing you to switch targets faster.

Ordinance Training - Boosts the firing rate of the cannon on the tank.

Water Cooler - The tanks secondary machine gun will overheat, this allows you to fire longer before cool-down mode.

Lead Foot - Increases tank to top speed.

It has been confirmed this will the LAST time they do a WWII game in the call of duty series but looking at this game it looks like they will go out with a bang as they have been saving the best for last.

Snipers... Heavy gunners ... Tired of Recoil? No problem, just equip a bi-pod so when you lie down you got a steady gun.

Magazine upgrades - Add a dual magazine or throw on a drum for more shots before reloading.

Speaking of drums - The Tommy Gun is in this game ;-) dont abuse it babyface.

Silecers and Flash Hiders - Silencers are case in point, the flash hiders will reduce your muzzle flash.

2 more game modes include a "Capture the Flag" and a "War" mode.

Shotgun Lovers ... There will be a double barrel shotgun in this game ;-)

But it doesnt stop there, why not mod that double barrel? You can saw off the barrel to make this a great "Room clearer" and cause hella damage.

Those thinking they will miss the red dot sight or ACOG from COD4, dont fret, as u can outfit your rifles and SMG's with aperature sights, telescopic sights and sniper scopes to hear that PING on your enemy.

Last but not least folks, COD-WOW has jacked up the gore factor and limbs sever ala Rambo and there are some gooey headshots and just incase you were wondering they have stuck with the speedy addictive multiplayer style.

Sounds sweet, lucky dawg get the CE ... I ordered this from Gamestop and the allowed me to pre-order the CE for PS3 ... So I know damn well I gotta go in there and get that changed or canceled since they would probably hand me a 360 version and I'd be screwed release day ... I'm probably going to go with the amazon one with the $10 GC.

yeah i told myself i wasn't going to get it, if i didnt win, but you damn persuasive guys, and those stupid videos.. plus i have $35 in rewardzone certificates (was going to use on the matrix BDs)..... damn u...

ok. look. its cod4, with a ww2 skin. same gameplay, same thing. just different weapons, diff maps, co-op, dogs, artillery, more perks...

Smart Move, seeing as how Matrix BDs will drop in price over time, W@W wont drop for probably like close to a year.

Actually, I had the idea long before you thought of it .. As it was I who revived the COD4 thread long ago ... I just however felt I should wait closer to release with respect to the forums ... You did however remind me when you thought you had the idea over at the blu-clan forums
