Thats what I have. Only does 1080i though. Monster cable HDMI to the tv and I used a Monster cable digital coax for the audio. Works pretty well.

However, I just purchased the Onkyo 805 and was unable to use the receiver to switch the converted DVI-to-HDMI signal through to the TV, necessitating the switch to a box with an HDMI interface.

Nobody knows.

If you want to dig into Motorla boxes you can read this thread (it has almost 4,000 posts though):

The issue with satellite boxes from DirecTV and DishNetwork is that they don't have firewire output and you cannot transfer SD or HD video to PC, compare to boxes from cable co.
I can transfer SD or HD video from Motorla 3416 box to PC via firewire without re-encoding (original broadcast quality). With DTV or E* you have to use eiter stand alone DVD recorder or PC capture card, and it is only SD.
