Default Eddie Murphy Fans

Anyone know when these films starring Eddie Murphy will be released?

Beverly Hills Cop
48 Hours
Golden Child
Harlem Nights
Boomerang
Etc.

I think the most of his films were released by paramount.

Is it just me or did any one else think Doctor Dolittle was very underrated. I found it funny.

I could not find a dedicated thread for these movies, but I watched my Blu-rays of Trading Places and Coming to America today.

Both movies look great on Blu-ray, although neither of them are what I would classify as demo material.

Trading Places is my favorite of the two, but both films bring back so many awesome 1980s memories for me. I've been sick all day today, and these were excellent "laughter is the best medicine" viewing choices.

It's been a while since I last watching Coming to America, and my impression today was that it really is awesome moviemaking. These were the days before fake computer stuff took over everything, and, as such, I noticed how much effort must have gone into this film, with all of the matte paintings and such of the fictional African country at the beginning. A staff-fight training scene between Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall is just a throwaway moment in the movie, but the choreography is better during that scene than in most of the main fight sequences in action movies today.

I'd love to see The Golden Child on Blu-ray. That's always been one of my favorite Eddie Murphy movies. Even if it wasn't any kind of tricked out special edition it'd be nice just to upgrade from the old non-Anamorphic DVD.
