Do PS3 Owners Have Any Friends? - Blu-ray Forum

As a PS3 owner, I love to play games with my friends. But it seems that most of the games (and all of the new ones) are only single player games (or multiplayer only online).

Even Motorstorm, a typical driving game, doesn't allow you to race against someone in the same room. That's ridiculous

I don't like playing games by myself and I don't want to play online with a bunch of anonymous people. So I haven't been buying any of their new games. All they need are some multiplayer modes -- heck, Resistance has them -- and I'll buy.

The console does support four controllers. You'd think they'd make some games that used more than one. Or do they just assume that PS3 owners don't have any friends?

Am I alone on this?

I feel you. I thought that motorstorm woulda been an absolutely must have if it had offline multiplayer... Online is cool, but there's nothing like racing with 3 of you buddies split screen! I think that the ps3 supports up to 7/8 controllers... not sure though.

8 bluetooth devices, including headsets, keyboards, remote, etc.
It fills up fast!

It doesnt matter either way because all of my friends have a 360.

We play Motorstorm, but since it is one player at a time, the other player drinks while they await their turn.

I like the way you play that game. You should have to drink more when you crash though.

Simple tell your friends to get there own ps3 then invite them to play online

I play online with my brother and he is only 12 miles away.

I hope there would be more multiplayer, on the other hand for motorstorm I think one player is good enough. The game looks so incredible that it is as fun to watch as play. I think in multi player mode it would take too much away from the game
