Angry Best Buy Ignorance

So I went into Best Buy today to see if they had the Panasonic Blu-Ray player, and got into a heated debate about the format war with one of their incompetent employees. He was saying that everyone should stay away from Blu-Ray because Wal-Mart (competitor of theirs) doesn't support Blu-Ray, and to prove it to him i showed him their website on my iPhone where they offered it at a discount with 7 movies (2 in the box).

THEN he tried saying that the porn industry was a big factor, and I told him that some are going to release on both formats now.

He said that HD-DVD was better because they have Toshiba, and Blu- Ray has Sony. And I told him that Blu-Ray has various manufacturers and support exclusively from Sony, FOX, MGM, Disney, etc. But he insisted that HD-DVD had a lot of independent support.

After that he said he is ALMOST sold on Blu-Ray.....

Blu-Ray needs to do a better job of educating employees on how to sell their product. I have never gotten into a discussion about Blu-Ray with an store employee before, but if this is always the case then I'm worried. Sorry to vent, but I'm very frustrated.
