s300 issue with Fantastic 4 - Blu-ray Forum

Stopped playing halfway through... took over 5 minutes to load up... etc...

thoughts?

i've played it about 3 times on mine, with nothing but flawlessness.

It is a BD-java manue based disc though, so it goes through all the checks in the beginning which can lead to 2-3 minute initial load times.

but 5 minutes?

I've got the s301 and I had trouble with it. When I was changing from DD to DTS, the imprint of the pop up menu stayed on the screen, it was just black and it wouldn't come off. Of course that was as soon as I took it home and set it up with no update.

I have the S300, and no problems with FF2, watched it twice. I have the 2.6 firmware.

I have the s300 and had nothing but problems with this movie until I ugraded the firmware. I would hit the display button and then when I tried to turn it off there would be black bars still in the area the display covered without any text in them. It was strange, but since i've upgraded all is well so far.

I played it on my machine and did not have any problems with the disc. Now the film...I had plenty of issues with

I want to say "Ditto times 2". I had one problem with the scene color changing about the time they got on The Fantastic Car. I think it was just my loose component cable.

I have long load times (about 3.5 minutes) for FF4 but it still comes up and works great. However, if I put in POTC, watch the movie, take it out and put in FF4 without turning the machine off, all hell breaks loose.

Start from a clean slate and your Blu world will be fine. Almost Microsoft like.
