they need to hurry up, i see this almost in every bluray trailer i see nowadays and it just makes me want it more.

That's movie that for whatever reason I don't even own on DVD. The second it comes out on preorder, I am in like sin.

I've been a fan of the Sin City comics for years. I bought the original DVD, but not the extended. I just couldn't wait for it. I really hope the extended edition is the one released on BD. I doubt it though.

you know what, I got both the original and extended DVDs and theres really no difference other then the second disk and mini comic, haha
but yeah I really hope it comes soon, I hate waiting.

according to hidefdigest.com it is pending a release date. It says that it is planned but buena vista doesnt have a date for it yet.

Well, we all know what will happen, even in the case of Blu. They will release the regular thatrical version, and then 2-4 months later, the extended cut will come out. Why change what pisses everyone off?

there's a trailer in the buena vista website the first trailer is almost 1/4 of Sin City

My guess is that we`ll see Cin City this fall, now that the implementation of BD+ is ready. I think we`ll see many great movies from FOX and MGM before x-mas...

If there are movies that were made for Blu Ray Sin City was definatly one of them. I was wondering does any one know if there going to release the theatrical edition or the extended edition? Hopefully they include both in one set so we won't have to make our minds up. One good thing about Blu Ray as opposed to DVD is we won't have to forgo lossless audio for the extended editions of movies any more.

I have been thinking that maybe Rodriguez is waiting for the ability to do PiP green screen similar to the '300' IME on HD DVD. I know that the Recut, Extended DVD of 'Sin City' shows a 12-minute fast track in green screen. Let's hope Buena Vista is hard at work getting this blu-ray done.

Rodgriguez and Tarantino are loyal to Harvey Weinstein, who is HD exclusive

Maybe there's ulterior motive?

I've thought about that too. However, 'Sin City' is strictly distributed by Buena Vista. I'm sure Rodriguez has final approval for home video so maybe he is holding up the process because of loyalty. Let's hope we get 'Sin City' on blu-ray by Christmas.
