USA The "Nook" from Barnes & Noble

I just got an email about this Barnes and Noble electronoc book called the "Nook", seems like newer version of Amazon's "Kindle".

Yeah heard about it on the radio this morning. Apparently you can even share books on this thing with friends for up to 2 weeks.

Not to mention it has a colorized touch screen menu on it, which is slick, it costs less than the Kindle, B&N has over 10,000 free eBooks, and the Nook has a better wifi tech (as a matter of opinion) than the Kindle.

When I saw the announcement video for this, I pre-ordered one. It looks like my kind of device. Seems to have more to offer than the Kindle.

My wife is a student, so I'm gonna keep my eyes open for a student discount.

I own a Kindle 2 and love it, it's nice to be able to keep my entire collection at my fingertips and the light weight and clear screen make it much nicer than reading on an LCD (i.e. netbooks).

For links to tons of free books and lots of good e-reader discussion I recommend you check out http://www.mobileread.com
