Default The Triplets of Belleville???

I know, I know. I really didn't want to start one of these threads, but at least i'm not asking about LOTR or Star Wars. I already tried using the search function and there was nothing too informative.

We'll I love this movie and really want to purchase it but it's so hard for me these days to go out and buy a DVD when I know there is something so much better out there. So i'm wondering if anybody here has good info on if this has any chance of getting a blu-ray release. Seeing how it is sony, i think maybe, but then again it is a pretty obscure title.

Thanks, and i again apologize for starting one of these threads.

Unhappy Hopefully in the future

As far as I can see it was released in HD DVD back in 2007; no signs of Blu-ray at all

I was thinking about this too, I love this movie. I haven't heard anything about a BD release, however it does come from Sony Pictures. Sony Pictures is also releasing The Illusionist, which is from the same director, in December. Hopefully they will release Triplets of Belleville to coincide with The Illusionist's release. If not in December's theatrical release, then during the Blu-ray release of it which will follow a few months afterwards.

it's probably just a direct port of the HD DVD release which was a solid release.
It has taken them a long time to finally release it that's for sure.
great that it's finally coming out.
In fact, the reason they waited was because the animator of that film has a brand new film in theaters, so there you go. the studios just gotta have that tie-in or we'd all die.

I hope there's a U.S. release soon. They should have made it coincide with the release of The Illusionist like they did in France. I would think that would maximize sales.

I would totally import from France if it weren't region locked...

Unhappy

I was reminded of this when I saw that The Illusionists price had come down. I'm ordering that today but really wish I could get Triplets in Canada...
