Default Blu-Ray Camcorders

The Blu-ray technology has very good, viable potentials in the camcoder industry. Current 8cm DVD discs do not hold or store much audio video information, just about 2.3 or so GB lasting only about 30 minutes. This means 2 hours and above of video requires more than 1 disc - an area where blu-ray will excell. But will Blu-ray be restricted to only high definition camcorders or will also be extended to standard definition recordings or designed to do both? When are are Blu-ray camcorders likely to be released? How much will they cost? And which manufactures will be championing this? What will be the target market? Home videos. Proffessionals or Industrial consumers?
:?

I have read about multi layer capability of Blu-ray. Will double sided discs ever be released for Blu-ray recorders and camcorders? When are multi layer recorders and camcorders say 4x, 8x likely to enter the market? Will hardwares be capable of recording on both sides of the discs?

What is the impact of watching Blu-ray materials on CRTV? ops:
