Canada Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen Wal Mart Exclusive

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything in terms of the Revenge of the Fallen blu-ray which has the IMAX exclusive scenes and ratio-switching coming to Canada Wal-Mart? I know it's coming out in the US, but after searching the Wal-Mart Canada website the movie isn't up on it yet. Can anyone confirm so i don't have to order the imax exclusive version from the States. Please and thank you.

Thanks for the response. Also wondering if this Steelcase exclusive from Futureshop in Canada will contain the imax specific scenes and aspect ratio switching?

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/Pro...9&newdeptid=22

Thanks!

It's not the 60 seconds of extra footage i'm concerned so much about. I LOVE the shifting aspect ratio for the Imax scenes, and that is ridiculously absent from the non Wal-Mart release version of ROTF.

I love it. For those of us who saw the movie in IMAX, it brings a bit more appreciating to those shifting aspect ratio specific scenes.

Anyone heard yet if Wal-Mart Canada will carry the ROTF exclusive bluray? Thx.

The scenes in The Dark Knight never bothered me. At least when I was watching it, I never noticed until I actually tried to find them. Same with all my friends.

I just hope that instead of merging the IMAX scenes into the master, I hope they are using Seamless Branching to avoid the EE

DAMN! I was really hoping Canadian Wal-Mart would be getting the Imax exclusive. Oh well, i have friends in the States that can buy it and ship it out to me. One way or another, i'm going to get it, just awful i have to resort to this instead of driving 10 minutes to my local Wally-Mart.......

Damn if thats true, Canada gets shafted again.

But I still have high hopes that HMV will get it then. They sometimes get special releases through the US. But I doubt it.

I have already checked with HMV and they will not be getting it. Realistically it doesn't seem as if any Canadian retailers will be carrying the Imax exclusive ROTF. Oh well, it pays off to have a few friends on the US.

Wouldn't that be the first one? This one was more like rubbing salt in the wound.

Looks like on Friday I will be making a day trip to Grand Forks / Fargo to pick up a copy. Gotta pick up a new DVD Tower so it won't be all for not.

How many interested people are there in this copy? I'm going to be picking up two copies, but I'll also be looking at getting some others for Canadian Users. Anyone possibly interested?

I'll charge the price I paid at the exchange rate I paid, plus the charge for shipping and * possibly * a part of the gas money.

Do I have a cost yet? No.

Translation - Paramount tried to get money from a Canadian company so they could carry it exclusively, but none of the Canadian companies wanted to pay them (or pay them enough).

Paramount could have just released it to every store up here if they wanted to.

Retailer exclusives in general are bad for the consumer IMO
