Co-worker has a $800 ht budget

Yesterday at a work related meeting, a co-worker mentioned that he had stopped by a Bose outlet store. He said "they sound so good, but they're expensive". I promptly gave him some cheaper options. He's currently using a JVC HTIB, PS3 & 73" Mitsubishi DLP. His room dimensions are large from his descriptions( 60' length by ??' width ).

Option 1:

I suggested he get the speakers first, since they're on sale now(until Oct. 26th). Then get the receiver around Black Friday when it may be cheaper.

I would agree with the Energy system with the Marantz receiver as the best option of those listed
