Default Are plasmas closer to CRT.
Hello everybody,

I currently own 2 lcds (sony xbr 7 and samsung 630), I am really disapointed at how DVDs look compared to CRT tvs. I have a pretty hefty blu ray collection but its nothing compared to the DVDs I own. And will continue to buy dvs
From what I have gathered a plasma might be the better way to go for me.
Can anyone comment on how dvds look on their plasma compared to other devices, and also I want to get a 50", so I am taking suggestions to. I will be sitting 8 feet away, and the main purpose of this tv will be HD cable and DVDs, I will be moving my XBR7 to the bedroom.

My budget is $1000.
