Default Half a Million+ $$$ Speakers from CAT

These speakers from California Audio Technology (CAT) are $560,000 a pair. I like the center channel the most. She comes with the two speakers.

Quote:
This $ half million (+) pair of CAT MBX 10.9S46 weighs in @ over a ton (each), stands 12 feet high, and often provides musical excellence to this 30,000 sq. ft. "Exotic Car" showroom in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas! The massive weight, cost, and audio industry defining accuracy is largely due to the enormous amount of MBX 105 alloy material (no MDF) CAT MBX engineers used in the construction of these brilliant enclosures.
or you can get these speakers for quarter of a million dollars. She is hot too.

With speakers like that, you will need 13 subwoofers.

Of course, you will need amplifiers like these.

Do you want a vertical or horizontal center channel?

Question for you BD.

When you have that many stage subwoofers, will it equal out the bass in the room or will there be noticeable holes?

I'm not usually a fan of these ultra pricey speakers, but they do look pretty good. The 2nd girl is hawt! (the first one is leaving finger prints!! )

Those speakers look great and I'm sure they sound fantastic, but there is a potential problem. Being an audiophile, it took me about 30 years of frequent listening to get to the point where I had constant tinnitus and had to wear hearing aids. I imagine it could have happened even faster with that system.

If you buy the half million dollar speakers, you will get the center channel girl for free. If you buy the two quarter million dollar surround speakers with the two front speakers, you will get both girls.

Standing waves and room modes are problems for mortals like us who own small home theater rooms.

Low frequency wavelengths are long (e.g., 56.5ft at 20Hz, 22.6ft at 50Hz, and 11.3ft at 100Hz). When a sound’s wavelength is precisely twice the size of a room dimension (e.g., length), the waves from both directions reinforce each other at the wall boundaries and cancel each other in the midpoint of these two boundaries, creating a resonant condition.

Once the room becomes as large as a professional theater and is properly treated, it then becomes a different ball game and the emphasis is put more on SPL.

Didn't Ferrari also select who they wanted to buy them? Aside from that those speakers seem cool. I'd get a set of those MTX jackhammers for more bass.

Ah, I did not know this. Thank you. What size cubic room then meets this requirement?

Yes, I believe you had to own two or three of the higher end Ferrari's in the past and then you were invited to purchase one.

I still remember that one comedian totally trashed one during a celebrity racing event or something. BTW, it wasn't his.
