Default Will digibooks eventully be released in standard cases?

Like other members, I like for my blu-ray shelf to have a uniform appearance. If they were all the same height, I wouldn't care, but it just messes up the flow. It seems to me that digibooks would cost more to produce, and eventually the production line will just switch to the standard cases.

What do you guys think about this?
There are several movies I want (300, The Green Mile, Shawshank, Batman, etc) that are in digibook form, and am hoping they see a standard release.

Almost all U.S. digibooks are available in the UK. Region free, and comparably priced.... and not a digibook. Search for the titles you're interested in on Amazon.uk

For example:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Green-Mile-B...6710127&sr=1-1
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Willy-Wonka-...6710148&sr=1-2

I really like them too. I like conformity as well so I am thinking of seperating the Digibooks for their own section. I only have seven, maybe when I get more.

Highly agree. A very nicely crafted alternative to standard plastic cases (imo)

So I guess you're staying away from boxed sets and slipcovers as well?

plus, the price of the repackaged BD will probably be around the same so you will be kicking yourself for not buying it in the first place and for missing the extras..

Not only that, it is also possible that over time, the digibook editions will go OOP even if the title is re-issued with regular packaging, thus making the digibook editions much more valuable in the long run.

there is a great custom cover art thread in this forum with lots of great artists, buy the digibook, print out a replacment cover, custom or original and put the movie in a normal bd case, simple as that
i like my bds looking very uniform too, so that is what i do if i ever have to buy a movie that only comes digibook

Ok you have seen the OP question. This was posted to cause a fight...plain and simple. Why is he missing out? Care to explain? He hates them, so do I! I think they are utter garbage but that does not deter mefrom buying a film I just work around it like Iceman has stated.

Yeah i'm also hoping for a keepcase re-release of some digibooks, if they would have only made them the same height as all the other cases everything would have been all right hehe.

Really..theres a standard case release for the 300 ultimate experience? (I love that DVD, but i'm not crazy about the digibook packaging)

Or are you refering to the orginal 300 release from 2007?

I am sure that is what he was talking about, I believe the Ultimate Experience is just for the digibook.

I am with the OP, I prefer to get the normal cases for the movies. Digibooks just contain extra materials that as no interest for me. Usualy it's not very expensive for me to get a release from the UK if it's region free.

The digibook defense force is everpresent. Like jack booted thugs they kick in the door to any thread/post not 100% complimentary and appreciative of the *special packaging* and attempt to convince you of your misguided beliefs.

All must submit to the wonder of the digibook!

I don't acre about digibooks either way, but I love when people complain about people defending digibooks, and when people come into a thread just to complain about digibooks....
