Paranormal Activity Ending Question

I know there's a thread for the movie but If I posted in there I would probably be ingnored.

But I just watched it, and I read the spoilers in the previous thread thinking I wouldn't end up watching it, and when I did watch it, the ending diffrent (and personally I think better) than the one in the US release.

But I'm unsure if it's diffrent, can someone tell me how the film ends in the US or if anyone watched it in the UK tell me how there screening ended?

Original ending:

[Show spoiler]It all starts off the same. She wakes up, stares at Micah for a bit, walks down stairs and screams bloody murder. Micah runs downstairs you hear a loud thud and then silence. Kate then walks up stairs in to the bedroom and sits down next to the bed. A time lapse begins and then it stops about a day to two days later. You hear a knock on the door for a while and then the door opens and you hear a womens voice, she's looking of Kate, She starts calling Kate's name, then she starts to scream when she sees Micah's dead body on the floor and runs out. Then the time lapse begins again stopping about a day later. You hear a louder knock on the door. The door is busted open after a few knocks and it turns out to be the cops. They discover Micah's body and call for an back up. They begin to search the house for anyone else. They make up to the top floor and see Kate sitting next to the bed. Kate under possession this whole time snaps out of it and approaches the cops asking whats going on. She stills has a knife in her hand and the cops see her as a threat and shoot her dead! It ends right there

Theatrical ending:

[Show spoiler]Starts off exactly the same. You hear a loud thud and then silence. After a while you hear footsteps coming up the stairs then silence. Out of no where Micah's body is thrown at the camera and then you see Kate's figure at the doorway. She approaches Micah's body on all fours and then sniffs him then looks at the camera. Then it ends.

Third unused ending:

[Show spoiler]Stars off the same. But, you just see Kate come up the stairs with the knife and she approaches the camera and stops. All you see is from her neck down. She takes the knife and slits her throat and it ends there.

I've seen the first two and the theatrical is my favorite. The original drags on for a bit, but still pretty good. The third I'm curious about, it sounds pretty cool.

Is the unrated version w/ the alternate ending the original ending or the third ending (the one you have not seen)?

I got the theatrical, but most my friends watched it on the internet (naughty naughty) got the original one, I really liked the ending and would put it among the best endings of the year, if only the rest of the film was better. I not really into the third ending, it's a bit too disturbing and very over dramatic.

I think it will be the 1st and 2nd one, I don't think they filmed the 3rd one.

Oh ok thank you, I didnt realize they didnt film the third ending.
I have not seen the movie yet so which version do you guys think will be the one to watch?

I've only seen the theatrical, and I think that sounds better than the original, the ending of the film is the only scary part of the movie, the other ending just sounds depressing.

Ok thanks for the opinion. I've been asking everyone who saw it what they thought of it and I've heard extremely mixed reviews. Its def going to be a Day 1 purchase for me. It will also be a game time decision for me on which version to watch when I receive my copy of the Blu.

It didn't scare me and I'm extreamly easy to scare.

I saw the original a few weeks ago. A friend of mine had a copy of the original cut of the film that he bought at a convention or festival I forget what he said. I thought the original ending was kind of boring and cheesey.
