Any good BF deals on GPS ?? - Blu-ray Forum

Looking for a GPS for my mom because she needs one bad, and other than the TomTom 340s at target i dont see much, but some ppl on here might have searched places i have not looked yet.. ( which is basically the main store ads in the BF thread )

Yes... Best Buy has the Garmin Nuvi 255wt for 129.99. I am going to try to pick one of those up. I think its a great price considering it has life time traffic updates and audible street names. It is also the wide screen version.

I saw the 255 , but For the past 3-4 months or so ive been reading up on all gps reviews and the 2 best seemed to be the Garmin 265WT and the 340S by tomtom.. Im gonna try like crazy to get the 340s , unless i can get a good deal elsewhere , but the 340s Is $249.99 right now, ( just got back from target ) and will be $97 on BF

You seem to have answered your own question. If the best reviews are for the TomTom and it can be had for over 50% off the current price on black friday, why would you bother looking for something different. I actually had no idea that was going to be less than $100 on black friday at Target, so THANK YOU, I will definately be picking one of those up next week!

The problem I have is using a GPS to find Black Friday deals. I just can't seem to get it to work. *sigh*

Stupid questions from someone who has never had a GPS....

Do you have to pay a monthly service fee? Are there software updates you have to install every now and then to update the maps?
