Hi guys,
I was thinking of purchasing a new receiver for the 3DTV I just got. Here's the one I'm eying, the Sony STRDH520 ![]() I'm planning to reuse my older 5.1 speakers and subwoofer from my older receiver. I can see that my speaker will be ok since I can connect it to the receiver through the spring loaded. But the for the subwoofer, I don't know how I'm going to connect it. I connected the subwoofer by a spring loaded port in the older receiver. How am I going to connect it to the new one as it doesn't have a spring loaded port for the subwoofer? Am I out of luck and need a new sub? Thanks |

If your subwoofer has both spring loaded inputs and spring loaded outputs, you can connect the subwoofer to the front speaker outputs on the back of the receiver and then connect the front speakers to the subwoofer. Inside the receiver's menu, you must set the SUBWOOFER to NO and the FRONT SPEAKERS to LARGE. If the subwoofer has a crossover dial on its back, set it to 80Hz to 100Hz. |
