Default DVR/TiVO and ratings...?

If someone DVR's or TiVo's something does that count towards a shows ratings? Just curious because I DVR most everything I watch, I watch hardly anything except sports live

- u have to be a nielsen household to be counted.
- dvr watching does count in the final rating as long the show is watched by 3:00am that nite.
- there is also a dvr+7 which comes out 2 weeks later showing shows watched within 7 days after the airing but its meaningless for the network commercial $$ value aspect.

The thing is that advertisers realize virtually all DVR users skip the commercials, so they really do not count them when they pay the networks. Advertising will have to evolve and adapt as ever more users switch to DVRs. I expect to see even more product placement and sponsorships, like we saw in the early days of television.
