Gremlins at Target? - Blu-ray Forum

Our local Black Friday ad for Target showed Gremlins on Blu-ray for $12.99, with a little blurb saying "Available Dec. 1st."

However, yesterday when I went to Target, it rang up at $19.99, and they refused to honor the BF ad price, saying that was for 2 days only. When I pointed out that the ad plainly states Gremlins wasn't available until 12/1, they said, "Oh, that must've been a mistake."

Did anyone else run into this?

target has had gremlins for a couple months now. it has just been released to all stores as of yesterday.

so they did have it on black friday for $12.99.

To add to what Benny said....Gremlin was a Target exclusive and has been out way before Black Friday...

Gremlins has been available exclusively from Target for like a couple of months. It officially is released everywhere on the 1st. That blurb was probably part of the art/release information from the studios. You missed out, basically. But look at it this way- you can get it for $14.99 with the $5 coupon that's out there. That's less than what I paid for it.

I bought it on Saturday with the $5 Target coupon, for a total of $7.99, so I didn't have that problem. Sounds like they screwed up

Yep, considering when I was there on Black Friday @ 5 AM I was told, "No, we don't have that yet. Our ad says it's coming out December 1st."

Well this sucks.

Agreed. I was fortunate on BF to have an employee sorta hanging out with me helping me find various things on my shopping list. Got Shaun White for PS3 and Rock Band Unplugged for PSP for $7/ea. A few toys for the kids, etc. When we walked past the Blu-ray area, I expressly remember asking about Gremlins and being told it wasn't out yet, so we skipped by the aisle.

Oh well. The $6-7 I'm not saving is not worth the time and inevitable rise in blood pressure when Target tells me "LOL too bad." Guess I'll just wait for a good Amazon deal.

dang i would have been so pissed! thats just ridiculous on target's part. they should know what they have especially considering it was a target exclusive

Amazon how has it, as it's in wide release. Hopefully you can get a good price on it, once the price drops
