Default Blu-Ray a Big Hit at CES!

I just read The Digital Bits website (thedigitalbits.com), and I was very happy to read Bits editor Bill Hunt's take on Blu-Ray at the CES -- it was ALL the buzz at CES and was very well embraced by execs from both the electronics companies and film studios. Even every "Tom, Dick and Jane" at the show went ga-ga over BD. Exciting news for BD indeed.
Be sure to check out thedigitalbits.com over the next 24 -36 hours and check out cool pics of the BD hardware as well as final BD title artwork and packaging!

I too am looking forward to Mr. Hunt's review of CES. He's been a great resource for providing great info from video shows in the past few years so I fully expect a nice writeup with pics for this one.

Bill Hunt said he thought Blu Ray would win a year ago. He's not impartial
just because he runs a website doesn't make him a verifiable news source.

I think this battle has been going on too long for anyone to be impartial. Even everyone on this forum will be biased for whetever reasons. For me it's the capacity - and potential to expand - as long as they make it backward and forward (the first 50GB readable) of 100 / 200GB compatible. Then there is the company backing.
