i have been researching and looking and listening to some of these recievers and i need some opinions. lets have it!!!

Well I'm about to buy an Elite in a couple of weeks (SC-25), so my vote went to an Elite model. However, you have 4 excellent models to choose from. I doubt you would be disappointed by any of them.

I picked the VSX-23, but if the price difference between it and the VSX-21 is $200 or more, I would go with the VSX-21. Pioneer makes excellent receivers, powerful and close to spec.

I picked the 23. But like forsberg21 says, if the price difference is too high, go with the 21. I'm a little biased though, as I've been running Pioneer receivers in my setup for the last 10 years. I just love the way they sound.
